Ceremony for FDR -
A
Memorial tribute to honor our nation's 32nd President, Friend and
Neighbor - Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Pay tribute to FDR on the anniversary of his
death, April 12, 1945. This event includes the U.S. Marine
Corps Color Guard, music by the U.S. Army Infantry Center Band, and
a speaker. Please note: We cannot accommodate school
groups during this event. Little White House.

House in Warm Springs where President Franklin Roosevelt died on April
12, 1945. He was in his fourth term as President, overseeing the
final days of the Great Depression and World War II.
For more than a half
century, this historic site has been a national treasure.
Visitors from around the world come here to see where he lived and
died.

Festival -
is the newest addition to the attractions and events in Gay, Georgia
held every May and October. On the grounds of the Old Cannery,
later used as the local school building, Shady Days in Gay
exhibitors continue the spirit of craftsmanship, skill, talent and
vision that many area farmers, homemakers, craftsmen and students
began on this same site. Our next festival will be October 3 & 4,

contest!

Courtyard Sweet Shop! Musical Concert from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with the
band playing a variety of music and a very talented musician playing two trumpets at once!

Swim the Warm Springs! A Dip Into the Past (Labor Day Weekend Special Event) -
Ever wanted to bathe/soak in
the warm springs waters?? Now is your chance! A special
weekend program to allow visitors to enjoy the warmth of the warm
springs pools is scheduled for Labor Day weekend. Swim in the
warm springs warm waters. Normally kept empty for
preservation, the pools will be filled with the naturally warm
spring water. Four 1-1/2 hour swim sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Ages 6 and older. Reservations suggested but not required. $15 adults; $10 ages 6 to 17.

nautical. We will host a model sailboat regatta at Lake Delanor

White House will host its annual Fala Day program with participants
from the Greater Atlanta Scottish Terrier Association. Activities

bagpipe music. All Scotty dogs welcome on a six-foot

Broad Street. Registration/Entry fee: $20.00 if received by

Candlelight tradition began back in
1983 during a major renovation of Warm Springs when one shop owner rolled a
piano onto the sidewalk.
Customers were
invited to share in the playing
and singing of traditional Christmas carols. As night time approached, the
sidewalks were lit with candles
and the music continued
for hours! Today,
we continue that candlelight tradition.
During this Christmas season -
shops have extended their
weekend hours. Each Friday and Saturday night until Christmas we'll
be open til 9:00 pm. (Regular hours observed
