Peaches in the Pines - 4th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival with an old-fashioned country flavor - the newest event sponsored by Meriwether County Tourism.  Featuring area artists, food vendors, great entertainment featuring a well-known headliner band, helicopter rides, kids' activities, Georgia grown produce, homemade peach ice cream, and many more activities planned.  728 Lake Meriwether Road Woodbury, GA.  Hours are 9:00 am til 6:00 pm.

June  - Annual Fishing Rodeo - Kids Fish for Fun - Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery will not hold its annual Kids Fish for Fun Day this year due to the construction of a new holding house. The new building is scheduled to be completed in early October 2018. The next Kid's Fishing Day will be in June of 2019. June 30 - Freedom Celebration - Held downtown in historic Warm Springs.  Parade at 10:00 am... 

11:00 am:  Welcome and kick-off plus "best costume contest" at City Park, live music, kids & family activities in the park, visit the merchants for special sales, Meet Uncle Sam, Betsy Ross and Captain America.



Rosie the Riveter and D-Day Observance - During World War II, the women of the United States responded to government encouragement to fill factory jobs left vacant by men serving overseas. Join actress and teacher Carol Cain as she portrays these women collectively know as "Rosie the Riveter". Also, living history with President Roosevelt reading his D-Day prayer and Kellys Zeroes, a WWII re-enactor group will display items used by soldiers during the war.   Admission charged. Roosevelt's Little House White 706-655-5870.
