Azalea Festival at Callaway Gardens -  Toward the end of this month, the azaleas begin to bloom and the woodlands come to life at Callaway Gardens. Visit Warm Springs during this beautiful time of the year. 

 
  
April 12 - 74th Commemoration Ceremony for FDR - 1:00 pm

Warm Springs is home to FDR's Little White House.
74th Commemoration Ceremony for FDR - A Memorial tribute to honor our nation's 32nd President, Friend and Neighbor - Franklin Delano Roosevelt.  Pay tribute to FDR on the anniversary of his death, April 12, 1945.  This event includes the  U.S. Marine Color Guard, and a guest speaker.  Please note:  We cannot accommodate school groups during this event.  Little White House.  706-655-5870.

It was in the Little White House in Warm Springs where President Franklin Roosevelt died on April 12, 1945.  He was in his fourth term as President, overseeing the final days of the Great Depression and World War II.  For more than a half century, this historic site has been a national treasure.  Visitors from around the world come here to see where he lived and died.

 

Saturday - April 13

Join us for our 21st Annual Warm Springs Spring Fling/Roosevelt Days Festival - Held the second Saturday in April each year from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.  A day of fun for everyone!  Arts, Crafts, Food Vendors, Entertainment throughout the day, kids' activities, fruit and vegetable stand, hands-on crafts booth, and MORE!  Admission to Festival is FREE - some activities will have a charge.  For additional information contact the Visitor Information Center at 706-655-3322.



April 9-12 

Third Annual Open Air Meriwether, an invitational Plein Air Painting event.  Thirty professional artists paint rural Meriwether County April 9 - 12.  Reception and sale April 12 from 2 - 5pm at Artisans on the Square in Greenville.  Art remains on exhibit until May 11, Thursdays - Saturdays, 11am-5pm, 404-386-1328,  https://openairmeriwether.com
