Saturday, November 2:  Fala to the Rescue (downtown Warm Springs)

FALA TO THE RESCUE is an event that has gone on for 30 years under the name of Fala Days. It is held the first Saturday in November, in downtown Warm Springs, GA. In 2014, 15 or so members formed a new club, and changed the name to reflect our purpose - raising money for Scottie Rescue and Canine Cancer Research..  We are SCOTS/SOS Scottie Club of the South/Saving Our Scotties.

Saturday, November 2:  3rd Meriwether Menu - Farm-to-Table Experience

Enjoy a unique dining experience in one of the most iconic locations anywhere in Georgia, the historic Red Oak Creek Covered Bridge, near Woodbury, Georgia. Sponsored by Arts Meriwether, the event will be memorable, with delicious farm-to-table food prepared by well-known Chef Jeffrey Tucker. Chef Tucker has a great reputation as the “chef of choice” for some very visible clients in the LaGrange area including West Georgia Medical Center; LaGrange Art Museum; Harmony House and events at the Del’Avant in Downtown LaGrange. His culinary career spans the Georgia region from Callaway Gardens to the Highlands Country Club in LaGrange to the Crown Plaza Hotel in Atlanta. Friday, November 15,16,17:  36th Annual Candlelight Tourbegins the Friday before Thanksgiving - Friday, Saturday

36th Annual Candlelight Tour Festival in Warm Springs Village!
Experience Christmas the Warm Springs way!  Start your holiday season here in Warm Springs!  Entertainment, candlelit streets, refreshments and more!  Begins the Friday before Thanksgiving (November 15th) and continues each weekend until Christmas.  Shops will be open late on both Friday and Saturday.  (Regular hours observed Sunday thru Thursday).  Tradition will continue with our "After Candlelight" festivities when shops will remain open late each Friday and Saturday night until Christmas.


Friday, November 15:  Candlelight Tour Run

1 Mile - 9:30 pm, 5K - 10:00 pm.  Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce in Downtown Warm Springs.  The course is a fun, rolling, race through the holiday-season lighted downtown Warm Springs.  Both races begin and end at the Warm Springs Community Building at 91 Broad Street.  Registration/Entry fee.  For additional information and/or questions contact Meriwether County Chamber of Commerce at 706-655-2558 or visit the website at



​​​​​​Our town is beautifully decorated with thousands of tiny sparkling lights, green garland and red bows!  Streets and walkways are lined with candles.  From the moment you step out of your car you'll feel the excitement of Christmas!  Hear the music?  Sounds of Christmas drift throughout town.  Smell the wonderful aroma?  Enjoy refreshments served by many of the local shops.

Visiting Warm Springs will surely put you in the holiday mood!   Front door parking and warm friendly faces to greet you and fantastic prices that can't be beat!  We're open every day year 'round!  Shop weekdays and Sundays til 6:00 pm AND, beginning the day after Thanksgiving, shop late on Friday and Saturday until Christmas. 

Candlelight tradition began back in 1983 during a major renovation of Warm Springs when one shop owner rolled a piano onto the sidewalk. Customers were invited to share in the playing and singing of traditional Christmas carols.  As night time approached, the sidewalks were lit with candles and the music continued for hours!  Today, we continue this candlelight tradition.

Each Friday and Saturday nights through Christmas, the shops in Warm Springs will be open til 8 pm.

November 15:  Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens.  Experience the 27th annual Fantasy In Lights with its eight million lights creating more than a dozen beautiful scenes, and you'll see why this is the brightest holiday light show in the South!     Be sure to visit WARM SPRINGS during your visit to Callaway Gardens..  We're just a short 20 minute drive away. Shops open daily.

In 1939, FDR spoke to the nation from Georgia Hall on Thanksgiving. We are going to replay the original radio broadcast after a digital presentation on the history of Thanksgiving at Warm Springs in the theater wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving. $7-$12.  706-655-5870.
